Primary duties will include preparing, implementing and executing feature level test plans, development and execution of test cases and the reporting of test results. Setting up and maintaining complex test environments, developing and/or utilizing automation tools to increase testing efficiency and accuracy. This position will working closely with development to prepare for testing and to resolve issues for software releases. Excellent English oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering quality business solutions is a must.
Qualifications:
- familiarity with testing methodologies and the defect reporting process;
- strong written and verbal communication skills with English;
- strong teamwork skills;
- background in Solaris hardware troubleshooting , system monitoring and debugging utilities (examples : fmdump, iostat, dtrace);
- collaborate with development teams during development and test as needed;
- familiarity with setting up and managing Virtual Machines;
- understanding of storage technologies and hardware is a plus;
- passion for high quality software.
Position Requirements:
- education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or technical discipline preferred (physics, electrical engineering, etc.);
- 3-5 years of Enterprise Software and/or Integration Testing experience;
- 3-5 years’ experience in testing and/or Quality Assurance methodologies;
- knowledge of Unix/Linux/Solaris.
