Lead Software Quality Assurance Engineer

We are looking for a full-time software test engineer who will lead the QA team, participate in design, development, testing and implementation of software projects, products and services for financial sector customers all over the world.

The Lead Software QA Engineer will be responsible for:

• The quality assurance aspect of the software development process, mainly overseeing and working on manual and/or automated test and test harness development
• Test environment setup
• Writing and maintaining test plans
• Functional and non-functional testing
• Driving test function to heavier use of automated tools and technologies.

Job Description

• Build, lead and manage the software quality assurance team.
• Lead and manage testing effort.
• Lead development of test solutions including test cases, test plans and test scripts for end-to-end testing and continuous integration.
• Define, develop and implement functional and non-functional testing environments and solutions within agile methodology.
• Prepare risk based test assessment reports against a software change scope
• Participate in design, development processes and testing of products and services, such as:
o Data integration involving industry standard formats and protocols such as FpML, FIX, JMS, JDBC
o Web based or native dynamic information interfaces for financial services
o Queue and pub/sub based messaging

Knowledge and Skills

• Must have:
o Good understanding of the software development lifecycle and QA processes within an agile development environment
o Proven ability to lead and implement quality assurance function and testing processes
o Working knowledge of automated testing systems
o Fluent spoken and written English
o Project and people management skills
o University Degree in a relevant discipline
o 6+ years of experience in a software quality assurance capacity
o Experience with a scripting language such as Python, Perl, Groovy, Javascript
o Financial markets experience
• Good to have:
o Experience with financial integration, trading and order management software
o Experience with testing tools such as Selenium and JUnit
o Strong Unix/Windows/XML skills
o MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle and/or MySQL experience
o Java development experience
o Involvement in Open Source collaborative projects
o UML skills
• Nice to have:
o Master’s degree
o C/C++ development experience


Employer is a London,UK based company providing IT services and products to financial markets, customers include brokers, banks, hedge funds, etc. Work involves pre-trade and post-trade services facilitating straight-through processes, real-time data integration, distribution and display, offices in London, Moscow, Singapore and Istanbul.

З\п 100,000 руб NET (или по результатам собеседования, если специалист хороший, обсуждают в сторону увеличения), в процессе оформления корпоративное подключения по мобильной связи (будет 3000 р компенсация по мобильной связи для этой позиции). Офис находится в настоящий момент на Новинском бульваре 11а (Смоленская), но переезжают через 1 мес на Зубовский бульвар 21-23 (2 мин от м. Парк Культуры) БЦ класса Б+. Для данной позиции предусмотрены коммандировки в Лондон и Стамбул
