Tester with SQL in Kyiv (EPAM Systems)

EPAM Systems is looking for Tester with SQL

General Job Duties:
∙ The successful candidate will be responsible for all testing of assigned products
∙ Responsible for creating test environments to meet the established testing scenarios and goals of the QA Department as established by the QA Manager
∙ Assist with defining Test Plans, Test Specifications, Test Suites and Test cases as required.
∙ Design tools for Unit, Functional and Performance Testing as required
∙ Execute Installation, Configuration, Integration, Acceptance, Functional and Regression testing to meet the product testing requirements
∙ Follow project milestones; design, document, implement and execute tests to achieve those
milestones – on time
∙ Communicate the results of all testing activities via established reporting methods to the QA Lead and/or Manager for inclusion in the department’s weekly status reports
∙ Report all observed issues in the defect tracking system as required
∙ Assist Technical Support with reproducing customer escalation issue as requested
∙ Assist Development with verifying and releasing “Hot Fix” issues to Technical Support to address
escalation issues as required
∙ Maintain your MS-SQL and Oracle database instances and Virtual Server instances to ensure the
proper testing environments are available at all times
∙ Assess merits of proposed product enhancements, and ease of use – provide feedback to Product Management
∙ Provide training sessions for your assigned product areas as required - both within QA and other
departments
∙ Mentoring of less senior QA Team members as required in the science and methodologies of Quality Assurance

Education/Experience Requirements:
∙ BS or MS in Computer Science, Mathematics’ or Electronics (or equivalent experience).
∙ 3+ years of QA Experience (preferably with Software Development exposure).
∙ Good function testing expertise.
∙ Expertise in Automation tools like WinRunner, QTP or Silk.
∙ Experience with MS SQL Server, Oracle;
∙ Experience in writing and understanding SQL queries;
∙ English level – not less than Intermediate(both verbal and written)


Plus:
∙ Previous experience with C# programming
∙ Previous experience testing Web Services / SOAP
∙ Experience with Internet Information Server (IIS) 6 or 7
∙ Experience in Windows OS administration;
∙ Work with diverse teams (Development, QA, Software Support, Product Management and Services) both onshore and offshore
∙ Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytic and problem solving skills
∙ Must be team-oriented and yet be capable of working largely with minimum supervision
