Front End Developers, job in Netherlands

We are looking for an experienced Front End Developer to join our dynamic team in Netherlands.

Key Responsibilities

Develop functional prototypes from wireframes, mockups and design patterns
Develop optimized/cross-platform Front-End code in CSS/XHTML, JavaScript, and AJAX
Navigate your way around different browser quirks.
Collaborate with product development, designers, and application engineers to refine and improve the user experience
Partner with peers in application engineering to ensure that interactive techniques and technologies translate through to world class products and services
Work with Quality Assurance to test functional product features
Follow industry trends with regard to front-end technologies and techniques

Education, skills & experience

We believe that to be a well-rounded front-end developer you need creativity and experience in visual designs.
We need someone who can work independently with the development team and who has a good knowledge of what it means to work with large and/or distributed systems.

Technical requirements

Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, and cross-browser compatibility.
Advanced understanding of AJAX frameworks, XML and JSON
Experience with Jquery or BluePrintCSS
Advanced understanding of front-end optimization techniques, both in page size and perceived rendering time
Experience using PHP and Java/JSP would be an advantage
Experience with Scrum is preferred
Advanced understanding of unobtrusive JavaScript techniques
Basic proficiency in source code management practices
Other skills & experience

Thorough theoretical knowledge, either through formal training or self study
Ability to take mockups and create high-performance, standards-compliant web pages that meet all design and technical specifications
A future vision on user interaction and usability
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-effort, dynamic work environment
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Start up mentality and ideally experience - you are going to be operating in a multifaceted and pivotal role in the growth of a new online business.
