Senior QA Engineer
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced senior QA engineer to join our distributed product team. The candidate we are looking for should be a self-driven individual who has a great sense of ownership and can drive projects to completion with limited supervision, quick learner, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Candidate must be comfortable working in an agile environment and have the ability to “take the wheel” when necessary.
The position is remote; we offer a flexible schedule, and you can work from anywhere.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Environment preparation (installation, configuration)
- Tasks estimation / test design and execution
- Automation using SoapUI
- Requirements researching
- Feature, Installation guides, Release Notes preparation
Required Training and Qualifications
- Five years of testing experience
- Experience in leading is a plus
Required Job Skills, Experience, and Specifications
- Web app / Web site testing experience
- Decision making and prompt issues solving skills
- Forward-thinking view
- Excellent English verbal and written skills
- Experience in automated and performance testing is a plus
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of IBM software (WebSphere, FileNet, CaseManager)
- Familiarity with Linux OS
- Experience working with SVN/GIT, JIRA, Confluence or similar tools
- Familiarity with SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, Postgre databases
