Python UI Developer

Mirantis Inc. is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Python UI developer, who will participate in creation of UI for brand new product in a cloud area for enterprise-level customers which is built on top of both Linux and Windows infrastructure. UI is based on OpenStack Horizon Dashboard. Mirantis, a US-based OpenStack cloud platform integrator, offers this position in its Moscow development center, in Russia.

We need an expert in Web UI for scalable distributed systems, who is passionate about driving things forward and not afraid of learning new languages and frameworks (there are those from open-source and Windows domains), written by the best developers in the area.

You’ll be working in a passionate team of professionals using the best practices of engineering process with customers from Silicon Valley and co-workers from Russia, Ukraine and US.

Responsibilities:

Create front-end components in Python by extending OpenStack Horizon Dashboard
Develop UX guides
Help to QA team with automation of usability testing and optimization of applications
Communications with remote teams in Ukraine, Russia and USA by means of teleconferences and trips

Requirements:

Strong experience in Python and Django
Expertise in UI design development;
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript;
Be able to gather new user requirements and turn them into convenient user interfaces
Be able to evaluate existing user interfaces and develop and implement improvements to them
Have a strong interest in measuring user experience
Understand modern trends in UI and Web design
Written English

Would be a plus

Knowledge/experience in networking
Experience with best practices of engineering process (CI/CD proocess)
Spoken English
