We are looking for an experienced PHP Developer to join our dynamic team in Netherlands.
You will work in a team of dedicated web-development professionals with entrepreneurial driven talent.

Key Responsibilities

Work with the development team according Agile/Scrum principles.
Develop optimized PHP code using the CakePHP MVC framework.
Partner with peers in application engineering to ensure that interactive techniques and technologies translate through to world class products and services.
Maintain clear documentation of processes and communicate task progress.
Work with Quality Assurance to test functional product features.
Mentor other members of the Development Team.
Follow industry trends with regard to web-application technologies and techniques.
Education, skills & experience

We believe that to be a well-rounded web developer you need creativity and experience in smart and efficient programming.
We need someone who can work independently with the development team and who has a good knowledge of what it means to work with web2.0 web-applications.

Technical requirements

Advanced experience, +5 yrs , with MVC frameworks such as CakePHP and Zend
Basic understanding of AJAX frameworks, XML and JSON
MySQL and experience with LAMP is required
Experience with Scrum, RoR or Python is required
Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, and cross-browser compatibility.
Understanding of JavaScript techniques
Knowlegde of Hadoop, Memcache, NoSQL, Solr, Lucence
Proficiency in source code management practices
Other skills & experience

Thorough theoretical knowledge, either through formal training or self study.
Ability to think out of the box and with minimal structure.
Experience working with high-performance, high-volume web environments.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-effort, dynamic work environment.
Excellent written and oral communication skills .
Start up mentality and ideally experience - you are going to be operating in a multifaceted and pivotal role in the growth of a new online business.
